Creating the highest tier audio soundscapes for his clever punchlines, witty concepts and wordplay to sit proudly upon, LA-based artist G. Code makes music out of the pure love that he holds for the artform. Now on a quest to carve out his own musical empire, he sets off to validate the success manifested from his thoughts.
Spending the majority of his childhood in and around Los Angeles, he grew up on a musical diet of ‘90s Hardcore Gangsta Rap, paired with the juxtaposition of classical greats such as Beethoven, Mozart during his time in local theatre, choirs and bands. His diverse and eclectic taste paved the way for G. Code to develop a deep appreciation for music as a whole, which has gone on to influence his current sound.
With thought-provoking wordplay, cerebral concepts and punchlines scattered throughout his productions, G. Code’s autobiographical approach to storytelling paints him as a protagonist. Raw anecdotes and real past life experiences often form the basis of the storylines in his narrative-driven Hip Hop. Alongside his signature hard-hitting drums, dark melodies and creative sampling, these themes are omnipresent throughout G.Code’s music so that his listeners can better connect with him and his story.
Having been working in the industry since the age of 6, his wealth of experience within music has led to G. Code now writing, producing, recording, mixing, mastering and distributing all of his own music. On top of this, in 2004 he launched his very own imprint on the scene. ‘G.CODE GFB, LLC’, is an American media company and lifestyle brand that provides all forms of media production services from conception to consumption.
G. Code’s next release, ‘Gone Til November’, will be released on November 27th via his ‘GCODEGFB’ imprint.
